MCKN residential project in Melbourne now complete

Private developer DealCorp completed their $30 million apartment project, MCKN, earlier this month, becoming the first high-end residential development to be completed at McKinnon in Melbourne. Designed by architects Ritz & Ghougassian, the 236 Jasper Road project has been most appealing to families looking to live in Melbourne’s desirable McKinnon secondary school precinct.

The building’s facade is a bold, textured surface of fluted concrete panels that channel the thriving plants and young sprouts that line its outside. Inside, natural light pours in from floor-to-ceiling windows, which cut across surfaces made of natural stone and brushed platinum fixtures. The five-story condo tower is comprised of 41 two- and three-bedroom apartments as well as penthouses.

In 2020, DealCorp made a last-minute revision to the project’s fourth floor, which allowed additional penthouse units to address the growing demand for larger Bayside apartments due to COVID-19. DealCorp Executive Chairman David Kobritz said that MCKN is the highest-quality condo development to date built in the neighbourhood, an aspect that buyers appreciated.
